"Each family prayer, each episode of family scripture study, and each family home evening is a brushstroke on the canvas of our souls. No one event may appear to be very impressive or memorable. But just as the yellow and gold and brown strokes of paint complement each other and produce an impressive masterpiece, so our consistency in doing seemingly small things can lead to significant spiritual results." TV and babies, not a good mix...
So this article I think is just simple common sense, but I thought I would pass it along. It is an article from cnn.com today that shows research regarding educational DVDs for babies, here it is. oh I know most of my friends share this opinion regarding television, and their children, but instead of ranting about too much TV, I thought I would let the media do it. Have a great day everyone! I also thought it would be interesting to see what other views are out there regarding educational DVDs, so please feel free to comment.

I didn't read this article, but I was reading another one earlier today (it mighta been the same one :)) and remembering right after Gabby was born, getting some DVD's as a gift... and the brochure that came with them, MOST of the Einstein DVD's seem to be geared towards the "0-3months" age range. Hello!?! Why are we encouraging such a bad habit from birth? They'll learn about TV soon enough, we don't have to spend money to get them to watch earlier and earlier. silly.
